Babies Love Books is a literacy program for immigrant families open to parents and their babies! This is run by Deborah Zipkin who is excited to see you and your little one soon!

We welcome you to join Babies Love Books, a two-generation series of family literacy programs for immigrant parents/caregivers and their children ages birth through 4.

The session will start on Tuesday, September 16, 2025 from 10:30 – 11:15 AM at the Faxon Branch Library Community Room and runs for 6 weeks ( September 16, 30 October 7, 14, 21, 28). Families are expected to attend all 6 classes. Each 45-minute class will include a theme based storytime, techniques for sharing books at home, and related craft activities.

All participants will receive new books to take home to build their own home libraries.

Families can register for library cards.

Registration

In-person registration will take place at the Faxon Branch Library (1073 New Britain Avenue, West Hartford) at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, September 3, 2025. Space is limited and a wait list opportunity will be offered.

This program is supported by the West Hartford Public Library Foundation and the William Caspar Graustein Memorial Fund.
